The File Browser allows you to interface with various files from the MUDGrinder. This can be useful for accessing and modifying ini files, scripts, and all sorts of useful text files stored in the MUD.
Contents
INI files
- Always save ini files to local. The affects won't take place until next restart. Saving ini files to the VFS may have far reaching unforseen impacts (depending on the ini file change).
Resources
This folder is the base folder for all saves in the MUD.
- It is important to carefully structure your resource subfolders, as a large MUD may end up with hundreds of subfolders and thousands of files. Navigating these subfolders may cause confusion when training new builders on your mud.

Text
This folder stores various text files for use by the MUD, such as files for your intro screen and character creation.
Notes
- Saving a file to the VFS (Virtual File System) makes the changes available to the current running version. Saving to LOCAL will change the base file, which will take affect on the next restart.
