			When you enter the room with a retainer, they may announce their availability for work. If you wish to hire them, simply provide them with an amount of money equal to their rate. Providing more money at any time will extend their length of service. Once hired, they become a follower, and obey the normal rules of following, including being subjected to the ORDER command. Retainers may be placed on [[Autoguard]] on privately owned property by the player hiring them, and removed from the group. They will remain in place, drawing their pay from the player's local bank account each pay period until dismissed.
