	CoffeeMUD has built off of many previous MUD materials made available through the MUD community and acknowledges their contributions as well. Any area originated outside of CoffeeMUD will continue to have a PLAQUE item at the start of the area honoring the original content developer, and many areas will continue to display them as the area author, unless the area was significantly overhauled beyond the orginal intent and view of the Content Author. Kendermore, a rewrite of Smurf Village from the ground up, and Calinth (based on the orignal area by Grehyton Hilgamar) are examples of major rewrites of the works of content authors. =Archons=
Archons are the ultimate power users of CoffeeMUD. Their power is so vast that any one of them could destroy the entire world in the blink of an eye. Being promoted to Archon status takes many years of commitment to the CoffeeMUD community, and is only done under the watchful eyes of the active Archons.
