CoffeeMud Version 4.2.0

  1. Mages have been toned down quite a bit. Wish is more painful, permanency more permanent (but also more painful), and armor restrictions follow mages around should they wish themselves out of their class.
  2. FieryRoom integrated (thanks Tulath!)
  3. Zapper now includes area names zapper -AREA +AREA, etc..
  4. Abilities and Commands now have casting/execution times. 0=instant, 1=instant in peace/1 tick in combat, 2 or more=delay
  5. Skill/Spells/etc.. commands now accept a level parameter to get the top of the list.
  6. ShopKeepers are stingier buyers now (by default). Charisma is even more important when dealing with them.
  7. Affects now show in columns.
  8. Relationship between abilities and class armor/alignment restrictions has been changed. See post in this group from a few days ago for more info on this important balancing maneuver.
  9. GenMob default armor settings have been adjusted upwards (2fold).
  10. Weapon default damage settings adjusted slightly upwards.
  11. Neither of the above two affects existing map mobs.
  12. Body part requirements included in many skills.
  13. Internal: Commands classes have been retooled. Interface Affect replaced by CMMsg, Host by MudHost, ExternalPlay is gone, numerous util classes moved or renamed.
  14. Conquest behavior added.
  15. Ability to set up "area" channels created.
